Doctors

Our veterinarians are affiliated with the local, state and national veterinary societies. Many hours are spent by all staff doctors at post graduate seminars. Contacts are maintained with specialists for consultation and referral of those patients requiring specialized care.

Bobby L. Stevener, DVM

Dr. Stevener was born in Bryan, Texas. After graduating from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1960, he went on to Texas A&M University where he graduated from veterinary school in 1965.

Dr. Stevener served two years in the United States Air Force. In 1967, he moved to Pearland and he went to work for Bayshore Animal Hospital.

In 1968, Pearland Animal Hospital was opened and Dr. Stevener became owner in 1972.

He has been a member of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association since his graduation from veterinary school.

He and his wife, Lucy, now have five grandchildren.


Mike T. Allen, DVM

Dr. Mike Allen was born in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1968. After attending San Antonio College, he enrolled at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine graduating in 1973. The following year was spent as an intern at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.

In 1974, he moved to Pearland and started private practice at Pearland Animal Hospital.

He is a member of the Harris County Veterinary Medical Association, the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association.

He is married to Loretta and they have one son, Jeremy.


Tricia Trunek, DVM

Dr. Tricia Trunek was born in Long Beach, California and eventually made her way to Texas in 1998. She graduated from Texas A&M in 2002 with a B.S. in Animal Science. While there, she competed on the equestrian team for 2 years. She then followed her parents to Washington and attended veterinary school at Washington State University, where she graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. After graduation she married Justin (a native Texan), and they relocated to the Pearland area where she began practicing at Pearland Animal Hospital in the fall.

She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. Her interests include soft tissue surgery, dermatology, internal medicine, and preventive medicine.

She enjoys traveling, reading, snowboarding, spending time with her friends and family, eventing with her horse Kensie, and spoiling her three pugs – Roxy, Chia, and Mojo.

Kristofer R. Schoeffler, DVM

 

Dr. Schoeffler was born and raised right here in Pearland, Texas.  He attended Pearland High School and graduated with highest honors in 1999.  During high school he worked at Pearland Animal Hospital as part of the kennel staff and as a technician assistant. 

Dr. Schoeffler then went to Texas A&M University to study Animal Sciences and graduated with a B.S. in 2003.  While in undergraduate studies at A&M he was a member of the Corps of Cadets in B-Company of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band.  He went on to study Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M, earning his DVM degree in 2008.  After his veterinary training, Dr. Schoeffler completed an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Iowa State University.  From there he moved to Anchorage, Alaska to work at a 24-hour Primary Care and Emergency Small Animal Hospital.  He moved home to Pearland and rejoined the team at Pearland Animal Hospital in April of 2011.

 

Dr. Schoeffler has a wife, Carrie, and two children, Jocelyn and Colt.  They have two pets, a cat named Babs and an English Bulldog named Sully.  Dr. Schoeffler is a member of both the AVMA and the TVMA.  His interests include medicine, anesthesia, surgery, nutrition, and ophthalmology.
