We are a Full Service Hospital Facility Providing the Following Services:

Routine Health Evaluation / Exam

All dogs need a routine health evaluation at least twice per year and cats at least annually. Pets age much faster than humans, on average 7 years per human year, so routine exams are a necessary part of preventive care. If a disease is detected early, it is easier to treat, and more likely to be cured.

Vaccinations

Your pet’s comfort is our priority! That is why we use ULTRA line of vaccines. At half the size of a normal vaccine, their increased purity and smaller volume are the reasons we believe they are best and least painful available.

Why use an injection at all when there are less invasive alternatives? Our Bronchi-Shield ORAL Vaccine for “kennel cough” is given by mouth instead of being injected or squirted up your pet’s nose like other products. Many patients even like it!

Nutrition Counseling

A pet is what it eats! Our veterinarians will make scientific recommendations to ensure your pet is getting the most out of his or her diet. We carry Hill’s Science Diet, Hill’s Prescription Diet and Purina pet food. These are exceptional options for your pet and include maintenance, preventative and prescription diets. These manufacturers offer a 100% guarantee on all products.

Microchipping

Our team members highly recommend microchipping all pets. Microchipping is a permanent means of identification and ensures a quick reunion if a pet is lost! Microchipping is affordable and can be done at any time by one of our trained team members.

Laboratory Testing

Having your pet’s blood panel done annually is very important in order to detect diseases in the beginning stages. On a complete blood panel you can verify your pet’s heart, kidneys, liver, blood cells, and much more to ensure they are functioning properly. Normal blood panels give veterinarians a baseline to compare to when your pet is ill. If abnormal results are detected, our veterinarians are more likely to be able to treat the disease or maintain it giving your pet a longer, healthier life.

Another lab test that is super important is a fecal examination. This test requires a small amount of fecal matter and checks for intestinal parasites, giardia and different types of bacteria. Intestinal parasites are zoonotic meaning they can be passed from your pet to you or your family members therefore this test is necessary semi-annually to ensure safety for you and your pet.

Dental

Pearland Animal Hospital’s dental services include routine cleanings / polishing, dental extractions, oral surgery, and digital dental radiography (x-rays). Our trained technicians perform routine dental cleanings daily. We also have a wide variety of veterinary approved dental care products for maintenance and preventative care.

Digital Dental Radiography

Full mouth or single tooth x-ray can be performed in order to detect hidden dental structures, malignant or benign masses, bone loss and cavities that are not seen by the human eye. Images are immediately available for a doctor’s evaluation.

Surgical Procedures

Our hospital offers the latest anesthetic protocols, complete blood panels to check vital organs, pain control, constant patient monitoring by a trained technician and state of the art equipment. Our veterinarians perform a variety of orthopedic, soft tissue, and routine elective surgeries.

Ultrasound Imaging

Pearland Animal Hospital now provides Ultrasound Imaging! We use high frequency waves in order to view your pet’s soft tissues such as muscles and/or organs. The images are captured in real time allowing us to see movement of the body’s internal organs as well as the blood flowing through the vessels for a quick and accurate diagnosis.

Laser Therapy

Laser therapy can be a helpful tool for animals that are recovering from surgery for orthopedic or neurological problems, have incurred injuries to joints or soft tissue, or suffer from chronic pain. Laser therapy can help pets recover more quickly, increase mobility and flexibility, improve endurance and agility, and reduce the need for pain medication.

Digital Radiography

X-rays are instantly available for a doctor’s evaluation. Our x-ray system provides the clearest and most diagnostic images available. We also have the ability to send images directly to specialists for review.
